Palimpsest

A palimpsest is a surface where original marks have been erased to make room for the new, yet traces still remain. A densely worked face holds the right side of the canvas, while the left dissolves into the ghostly scaffolding of a prior structure. It is an exploration of memory and overwriting—the tension between the current facade and the blueprint of what was there before.
