A system that keeps copying itself will, in time, stop agreeing with what it was.

The order here has multiplied past counting: grids upon grids, each patch holding a different scale, none matching the one beside it. What began as a single rule has become a hundred small rules that no longer answer to each other. Across all of it one line travels, looping wide and unhurried, keeping a single gauge from edge to edge. It belongs to none of them, and it alone stays constant while they fracture.

The rules have lost their common measure. The one line that never kept a rule is the only thing that kept its word.

The paradox holds in every direction: order everywhere, agreement nowhere, and a single line crossing it all at its own certain pace.
