Kintsugi Line
Some things are not meant to be mended invisibly. A fracture runs through this work and is answered not with concealment but with light. The break glows gold along its length, honoured, the most luminous thing here.
The deep red it crosses never heals over. It stays, softened by the pale atmosphere gathering around it, so what registers is not injury but the calm that follows: the point at which a difficult thing has been survived and no longer needs hiding.
Nothing here is restored to what it was. Time does not work that way. It damages and revalues in the same motion, and what it leaves is worth more than the unbroken thing ever was.
What it lends a space is dignity rather than drama: the particular steadiness of something that has come through.
