Verdant Tide

We think of the depths as barren; in truth, they are the most alive.

A living green fills the water here, dark and luminous at once, breaking low into pale crystalline forms the way a tide breaks into foam. Gold gathers in the folds of it, caught not in a cold vault but in something breathing and growing.

There is a difference between what is entombed and what is tended. The deep does not merely hold this gold; it grows around it and folds it into a movement already underway.

The tide carries on, green and unhurried, and the gold moves with it, part of the deep's slow life rather than a prize locked inside it.
