The most exact thing in a room is seldom the thing that fills it.

In one corner a fine notation keeps its precision, careful and complete, each mark set exactly where it belongs. It is flawless, and it governs almost nothing. Past its narrow border a great loose mass has taken the rest of the surface, swelling across every panel with no rule to its name. The two are drawn in the same white, yet one has stayed small and exact while the other has grown to own the field.

The order here did nothing wrong. It was simply overrun.

It reads as a quiet dominion, a small precision keeping to its corner while a wide abundance holds all the rest.
