Mineral Veil

A veil conceals less than it admits. What lies behind is announced by the covering itself, and everything here works that way: pale seams surfacing through cool mineral depth, the trace of something withheld pressing upward until it shows.

Nothing is disclosed outright. The work keeps its distance behind oxidised greens, holding an order that is felt more than seen, letting only fragments of gold light through to suggest what the depth contains.

This is matter caught in the act of keeping a secret: not sealed, but not opened either. Its quiet comes from restraint rather than absence.

It rewards the long look above all, giving up a little more on each return and never quite all of it.
