Unravelled II

There is far more indigo here than the mark could possibly require, and it takes all of it anyway. The cream line travels long clear distances before it turns. It crosses itself rarely and is in no hurry to arrive anywhere. Space was never the difficulty.

Given the whole night, it will use the whole night. The extra room resolves nothing; the same unfinished business simply covers more ground, and the wide dark keeps offering more of itself. Some preoccupations do not require company. They require somewhere to continue, and they will take whatever they are given.

A space around it remains open and occupied at once, which is rarer than it sounds.
